Today, July 4th, is 3DT's 5th birthday. In late 2019, Fod and I began work on a vision of a new home for our kind of people online. Before the founding of 3DT, most people within the creative and ideological spheres we occupied were stuck with the parasitic likes of imageboards and Discord. Even those who ventured out of the dim and perverting boundaries of those places had few options; most online "communities" existing outside the guidelines of mainstream venture capital funded money pits fall into the same patterns and fixate on being "online" people, living fake online lives. When 3DT opened on July 4th, 2020, it stood as a refuge and an offense against the wirehead cyber-masturbation that poisons the Internet. The people who occupy 3DT are PEOPLE, not caricatures designed to fit a fantasy or ideal. The goal we strive toward is collaboration and fellowship that is PERSON to PERSON. Those who consider themselves in the wired are treating the medium as a destination, not a conduit for physical, mental and spiritual health. Over the past 5 years, we have accomplished many things, but it has only just begun. The next 5 years will bring even more. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us and worked together over time. I think the freedom to ride is destined within all of us. Everyone wants us dead, but we're still going to ride. It doesn't matter what kinds of hits we get, we still are here, and will be here longer than anyone else. No matter the cost, no matter the pain.
