Today, July 4th, is 3DT's 5th birthday. In late 2019, Fod and I began work on a vision of a new home for our kind of people online. Before the founding of 3DT, most people within the creative and ideological spheres we occupied were stuck with the parasitic likes of imageboards and Discord. Even those who ventured out of the dim and perverting boundaries of those places had few options; most online "communities" existing outside the guidelines of mainstream venture capital funded money pits fall into the same patterns and fixate on being "online" people, living fake online lives. When 3DT opened on July 4th, 2020, it stood as a refuge and an offense against the wirehead cyber-masturbation that poisons the Internet. The people who occupy 3DT are PEOPLE, not caricatures designed to fit a fantasy or ideal. The goal we strive toward is collaboration and fellowship that is PERSON to PERSON. Those who consider themselves in the wired are treating the medium as a destination, not a conduit for physical, mental and spiritual health. Over the past 5 years, we have accomplished many things, but it has only just begun. The next 5 years will bring even more. Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us and worked together over time. We're approaching 3DT's 5th year: a half a decade of operations. Since the beginning of 2025, we've been working privately to create a complete redesign and recreation of 3DT as we know it. The 3DT network has been on a long journey to realize its true purpose, and I believe that Fod and I have truly found it. Without delivering the entire thesis of this realization in this post, what I can say is that the 3DT manifesto will be finalized and the site will be opened up to a greater audience. In the interim, I've lifted search engine indexing restrictions and made most of the forum publicly accessible without needing to register. This is the first step to transitioning the site away from a closed off group into a multilayer rendezvous for all potential dataluxers. To aid in the transformation of the site, one of our most respected designers, ment4ll, has been brought on to lead in digital creation of visuals and style for the site going forward. We've also brought on ten for technical development of cutting edge realtime features. More updates will be posted as time goes on. Optimistic future of 3DT.

I moved 3DT to a new server, and I'm working on getting it redundant on multiple servers over the next couple of months. We suffered some downtime while moving it over that could have been avoided unfortunately. For future reference, you can join or just view this Telegram channel for status updates. It's read-only and meant mainly for status updates and downtime announcements. Fod and I might pipe the 3DT news system to it a bit later for the people who are too lazy to actually use the site lol. In any case, it's best to join or bookmark it in case the site goes down unexpectedly.
