Critical Role did to the wargaming space what Apple did to the internet. Now we're coming up on a second decade of kids that think they're God's gift to the arts trying to "subvert the genre"
What have you been doing for your network? You're running something for your team, aren't you? Name your game and talk about it.
I've been running a Delta Green game in a dedicated, custom setting, where the internet never became what it is now. Every site is a step away from 3DT. Every HTML nerd is a rifleman. A terminal is a weapon. Everybody knows the internet. Only the fast can use it to its full potential. Wireheads can only keep up with what the empathetic few spoonfeed them.

“He's passed on to a better, more euphemistic place.”
We've got some CS:S and CS 1.6 servers we've been playing on a lot, and I'm planning on getting a VM for NewTechnology to set up gmod.
Dope site dude, I like the style a lot

When it comes to tabletop games, I don't play a lot. I used to design games with my dad as a kid, but that was a long time ago.
My favorite tabletop game I used to play was Stratego. The hidden pieces make strategy require way more memory than something like chess.
What are some good short tabletop games that can be played with a few friends that you recommend?

Outgunned is the fastest and shortest roleplay game I've ever played. Cyberpunk is second-fastest I've ever run. Delta Green can go fast or slow depending on your GM and how smart your players are, but its an investigative game and takes time. VTM is similar.

How many players is it?
Found its Kickstarter page. One thing that's always struck me as interesting is that boardgames seem to be the only category of thing on KS that are often funded and deliver.

3 Players and a single GM were what my group had when we ran it for a short period.
Kickstarters attract ideasguys inherently. Everyone wants to come up with something cool. Nobody wants to code a backend. With the death of zines in the mainstream, the only way Delta Green was ever able to come back from Yahoo Groups shutting down and its books going out of print was its own kickstarter and the word of mouth from a few dedicated oldheads.
What kickstarter does for people in the tabletop space is get that word of mouth out to the normies for a brief moment in hopes of sparking their synapses. Sometimes, if you're lucky and play the right buzzwords and pretty enough art, thats enough to get your splatbook funded.
Vaesen, Outgunned, the Delta Green republishing, LANCER, Kids on Bikes, they all sprung from Kickstarter, not the fanzines of the 80s or the Usenet and Yahoo groups and mailing lists of the 90s. Where there's an idea, there's people willing to give it a shot.

that's an interesting take on it. I always thought that you'd want to generate hype to fund the kickstarter, but I guess the kickstarter can serve as a hype generator in its own right. The ability for someone to make a card/board game solo or with a small group probably also helps them deliver on KS promises
