Recently Richard Stallman has announced his return to the Free Software Foundation (henceforth FSF).
Since this became public, multiple entities have come together to write a letter to the FSF containing purposefully misleading accusations. This letter is just corporate shills with the goal of destroying FSF. The letter demands for the whole board of FSF to resign and people are signing it. They think that GPL is evil and licenses like MIT (which enable global corpos to proprietarize everything they want) is actually good.
This letter pulls regular statements from Richard Stallman out of context, and frames them as being sexually abusive, [x]-phobic, [x]-ist, etc.
Here is a list of companies that have signed this letter. Do not use their products.

A letter in support of Richard Stallman has also been started, which is gaining increasing amounts of traction.
However, the signees of this support letter are being doxxed, their employers are being emailed and the anti-RMS crowd is trying to get them fired.
Aside from this, the anti-RMS crowd also censors any fact-checking and anyone who points out their efforts go in against US law.

That explains why every OBS update makes the software worse. As for Tor, you should be aware that they intentionally ignore major deanonymization vulnerabilities; there's not much point using it outside accessing hidden sites.

“He's passed on to a better, more euphemistic place.”
It's funny watching all this bullshit happen. None of this really means anything, Stallman has made money from donations made by proprietary software companies for a long time anyway. This is a super stupid, manufactured drama that's not worth paying attention to. The only real knowledge you could get out of this is what political affiliation these companies and groups have, but that was probably obvious for all of them already.
