I want to get back into some casual gaming without falling into the modern extortionist video gaming industry traps. What's everyones favorite games?
I've been playing some osu... its pretty fun but mostly an exercise of endurance. Obviously there's Deus Ex, Minecraft (Pre-Microsoft). Thief and Morrowind are really good games as well.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm the best shitposter I know. ★★★★★

The whole truth is that all games are either shit, draining, infuriating, and hexing, or their not that special. With a few exceptions. All games suck unless you're playing with friends. Sometimes I don't even bother playing alone.

From the top of my head I can say that you would really like the Myst series. It's open echospace allows replayable environments and generated ideas. Riven is the sequel as well as the entire repertoire of other genres that stemmed off this CD-wonder. Try it out.

Can really sympathize with that bit. Don't get much enjoyment out of non-rhythm games anymore when playing solo.
by the way we'll have another game night soon. last one was just announced on the forums with the voice/server links posted a bit too close to the hour.

Love that model.
I play a lot of DooM II and Halo 2 Project Cartographer. Mobile games I like to play are Minish Cap and Pokemon HeartGold, though it's rare I play with my Nintendo hand-helds.

Original DOOM games nowadays. Not much time to play games anymore sadly.
Always happy to discuss old computers, philology, linguistics, history, and video games.

Come over to my site. I talk about retrogaming, computing, history, linguistics, and more. Not a lot right now, but more is always coming.

If you want a gaming experience like no other, play the game called Observer it's made by the same people who made Layers of Fear. It's a detective/puzzle game, but it has an undeniable aesthetic and the graphic remake drops early november.
I would also recommend Hades, it's a rogue-like dungeon crawler type of game, really interesting art style, very engaging, and you can pick up and play it and die and stop and not feel bad because the dungeons have a different layout each time you give a run a shot.
