i use renoise as my daw. i use a lot of vsts, around 700. ozone 9 is good for mastering tho. fabfilter pro q 3 is a good eq. i really love these free distortion plugins: https://distocore.online/

Horror punk and black metal? I don't know.. horror punk is more tongue in cheek in my experience. Black metal is much more "serious" in its horror aspects e.g. talking about werewolves and demons and stuff.

I fw yellow metal's ability to take death metal's narrator--a down bad doomer poet--and replace him with a schizo idiot who holds no intelligible opinions other than those that can be expressed by his parroting the noises heard in his neighbor's yard and his brother's bedroom. this is what speaks to me the most
