It's so old that it's not even showing up on the wayback machine anymore, but it was called twisted-revolt.net It was a vBulletin forum I frequented from like 2003-2007ish. It's where I learned everything I know about the internet. It washttp://www.twisted-revolt.net/site/index.php a gfx based forum that also had this text-based Dragonball Z RPG that was very popular amongst the members. There was an exodus from it to a place called vortexed.net (shared one admin) and I still talk to some of those people from time to time

It all traces back to my affliation with crackers, hackers, and warlocks, golden days of internet surfing.. when u got make something in C++ && post it 4 your friends. Glorious

Not quite forums, but mostly playing around on FTP servers and mIRC channels. I was also using some program for connecting to Usenet/Netnews libraries. Before my internet connection, I was in the Dark Days of C: Prompt, trying to get Wing Commander to run.

the first forum i remember was an old writing forum where you posted short stories and original poetry that you wrote? i really only browsed forums, never really participated in it until recently, i guess the first forum i lurked on a lot was some local forum about asian parents LOL either that or anime forums

there was a forum for a CSS server that i went on as a kid (AMZ? ATZ? it was "A to Z" but can't remember how they stylized it). Family friend showed me Something Awful before I was really old enough to get it, but i didn't seriously post until 4ch slightly after chanology & facepunch. facepunch was the only forum proper that i browsed for over a year

bungie.net when halo 3 was still a massive thing, cant even remember what my old account was called cuz i made my username a random string of letters..other than bungie.net i was active on some early gmod server forums when i was a dumb kid teenager..they were all chalk-full of the regular dumb arguments that happen as a result of gmod (rdm, rules, admin powertrips e.g)..wish i spent my time a little wiser back then

a German clan forum centered around a mod for Battlefield 2 called Sandbox. I think the clan was called AOL, then SMoT, and then changed to DDFS before dying out completely circa 2016.
