5. Patch Warcraft III TFT to 1.26a which is the last holy version

Packaged for Linux with old wine
Launch start.sh for TFT and start-roc.sh for ROC
After the first launch a config file will be created. There you can enable Pulseaudio as a sound backend. By default it uses alsa and may not work with your setup

There is actually no need for this weird wine version. I launched the game on a new prefix with stock wine from my package manager. People playing on linux just need to launch war3.exe from the Windows data dump I linked
